​Mapping a Shopify customer to a specific Xero customer

In specific cases, especially for B2B or wholesale, you may choose to map a specific Shopify customer to a specific Xero customer that already exists in Xero.

This requires a setting to be enabled by the Hyve support team. Please reach out via live chat or email help@hyvelabs.co to enable this.

Once the setting has been enabled, you can then tag the customer on Shopify with the customer ID in Xero.


  1. To do so, you will need the Xero customer ID. You can get this from the customer URL in Xero. It a unique long identifier used by Xero to uniquely identify the customer in Xero. In the example screenshot below, the identifier is: f5fb03fe-a962-4f22-84ad-b55c6a33b57a

  1. Copy that and paste it into the Shopify customer.

Hit Save that in Shopify, to save that new tag.

Once that's done, any further order for that customer in Shopify will get posted to Xero as the Xero customer specified.
