View Orders
The Orders Dashboard shows every order from your Shopify store and whether it has been posted to your accounting system. Use this page to post orders manually, check posting status, and fix any posting problems.

Auto Sync Orders
What it does: Turn this on to automatically sync new Shopify orders to Xero as they are created. When enabled, orders are posted automatically without manual posting required.
When to use: Enable auto-sync once you’ve confirmed your first orders post correctly.

Tip: If this is your first time using Post to Xero, leave auto-sync off and manually post the first order from the Orders Dashboard. Then check Xero to make sure everything looks right. Once you’re happy, you can enable auto-sync.
Order Display Format
Choose how orders appear in the Orders Dashboard either by the order number or order name.

Show orders from date
Select a start and end date to display orders within that range. Changing the dates updates which orders appear on the Orders Dashboard.

Orders
The Orders table lists orders based on the Show orders from date. Each row shows the order and its posting status. From here you can:
- View order status — See orders that have posted or are waiting to post to Xero.
- Post orders — Manually post orders to Xero.
- Update posted orders — Repost orders to update invoices in Xero with the latest order details.
- Retry failed posts — Retry orders that failed to post and view error details to troubleshoot.
If an order fails to post: Click the ">" icon to view the error details, follow the troubleshooting steps, and try the retry option. For persistent errors, see Order Posting Errors guide for common fixes and what to include when you contact support.

Types of Xero Status
| Xero Status | Description |

| Posted |
Order has been posted successfully to Xero. The Xero invoice is shown in the "Xero Invoice" column with a direct link to the invoice in Xero. |
| Pending |
This usually means there is a set up missing. Depending on the data that is missing, an invoice might still be generated, and if so, it'll show up in the "Xero Invoice" column. | Empty / Not Provided |
The order from Shopify has not been posted to Xero. This might be due to your store being on the "Basic" plan for the app which only does syncs once a day vs in real-time, or you disabled Auto Sync Orders. |
