Shopify to Xero Data flow diagram

Post to Xero sends orders, payments and refunds one way, from Shopify to Xero. A payment you record in Xero is not sent back to Shopify, and it does not mark the Shopify order as paid.

The two-way arrows in the diagram show pairings the app keeps between the two systems: payment gateways with Xero accounts, products with Xero items, and customers with Xero contacts. Changes you make in Xero to an item, its stock, a contact or an account are not copied to Shopify.

The only thing the app adds to your Shopify orders is a link to the Xero invoice, and only if you ask us to turn that on. The link appears once the invoice is approved in Xero. Orders included in a summarised invoice do not get one.
