Turn off posting gateway fees to Xero

How it Works

Every time a customer pays, your payment provider keeps a small cut. By default the app records that cut as a bill in Xero, so what you sold, what you were charged and what actually reached your bank all line up.

Some stores don't want that. If whoever does your books already picks the fees up from the bank feed, a second record in Xero just gets in the way.

How to turn it off

1. Go to Setup - Advanced.
2. Find Post fees to Xero.
3. Click Turn off.

No fee bill is created from then on, and orders won't wait on one. Fee bills already in Xero stay where they are.

Only one gateway?

You don't have to switch fees off everywhere. Each payment gateway has its own setting in Setup - Payouts, so you can leave fees on for Shopify Payments and off for PayPal, or whatever suits.
