Show variant options on Xero invoice lines

Shopify keeps the extra details of an order — size, colour, a name to engrave — separately from the product name. They don't reach Xero by default, so two very different orders can produce invoices that look identical.

How to turn it on

1. Go to Setup - Advanced.
2. Find Add product options to line item.
3. Click Turn on.

Those details are then added to the invoice line, so it shows exactly what was ordered. Most useful if you sell anything configurable or made to order; if everything you sell is a single fixed product, you probably don't need it.
