Send wholesale orders to a different Xero account

If you sell both retail and wholesale, one revenue account for everything makes the split invisible in Xero. Order tags can route them apart.

How it Works

We attach a rule to a Shopify order tag. Any order carrying that tag can then post differently:

• to a different Xero revenue account
• with a different tax rate
• against a different Xero contact
• with its own tracking category, so wholesale shows separately in reporting

Orders without the tag carry on exactly as before, so you can start with one tag and add more later.

Getting the tag on the order

The tag has to be on the order at the moment it syncs. If something adds it later, the order will already have posted under your normal settings.
